HI. MY NAME IS LINDA ESPOSITO
and I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), helping people get on the right side of calm.
After hearing countless stories of sleepless nights, intense arguments with loved ones, and racing thoughts that hijack emotional well-being, I’ve identified common threads in the quest to calm an anxious mind. Though the stories are unique and special, the treatment consists of the same course, in the majority of situations.
And that’s good news, because anxiety takes a devastating toll on individuals, families and society. Since 2010, the anti-anxiety medication Xanax (along with its generic version) has been prescribed over 46 million times to adults living in the United States. For a person with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time. The feelings can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, school, work, and relationships. There are several different types of anxiety disorders: generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder.
According to The National Institute of Mental Health, approximately 18% of the adult population in the U.S. suffers from an anxiety disorder, and about half of sufferers do not get any form of treatment. Contrary to popular belief, anxiety is highly treatable. And that is what I want to share with you. Because when you commit to understanding the basics of anxiety, when you are motivated to make intentional efforts every day to work your calm plan, life gets easier. You begin to identify your stress signals before they threaten to ruin your day, your relationships and your outlook. Most people have a basic understanding of their anxious tendencies, but they lack a guided plan toward making lasting changes. This course has three functions to help you:

And the goal is to manage anxiety so it does not manage you.
